As you probably know, most of our plugins are powered by FxFactory from Noise Industries, and you have to install this application before our plugins become available in the host application they are supported, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Motion or Final Cut Pro.
So, before we continue, download and install the latest version of FxFactory [ LINK ]
Many users may need some introduction to the use of FxFactory and the SUGARfx plugins. Well, here are short tutorials and links to guide you in understanding how it works and show you how to manage the plugins that become available in your applications.
1.- To start, please check this FxFactory introductory video if you are not familiar with its functionality:
2.- Next, learn how to install FxFactory and how to enable the plugins of your choice and use them in the host application they are supported.
3.- If you have additional questions about installation or de-installation of products, etc, you can visit Noise Industries Support page [ LINK ]
1.- Go to the Applications folder and open FxFactory. When you see the Main window, browse to the product of your interest.
2.- If the product is already installed in your system you can make it Active or not. This will determine if the product will be available in the host applications. Also, if the product has not been purchased then it will be activated in “trial” mode and can be Purchased and/or Registered at any time using this window as well.
3.- Some products may not be installed in your computer, however you will be able to see their thumbnail icons and click on them to download and try the product or get additional information.
4.- When the plugin is installed, click on the product “Info” button to find out the details and compatibility.
5.- The Info page will open and show you the number of Filters contained within this product. On the left side of this window you will see the host applications that this product supports and some other details.
Hover your mouse over the thumbnails of each filter to get additional information about its availability, the user manual or help file and any tutorial that may be available related to this filter.
6.- Open your host application (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion or Final Cut Pro) and start using your new filter or plugin.
As you can see, using FxFactory really makes your filter management a breeze, and also allows you to try out many plugins from different vendors before you even commit to buy them (see step 2 above).
